Luis Garcia

vice president, Supply Chain

Luis Garcia (he/him) is vice president, Supply Chain, for Starbucks Canada. In his role, he is responsible for sourcing the highest quality products for the Canadian market, while implementing strategies and initiatives to enhance the efficiency sustainability and resiliency of Starbucks supply chain, inclusive of transportation, inventory management and timely delivery. 

Luis is a strategic senior leader who has spent the last two decades designing, enhancing and implementing complex Supply Chain operations for leading brands including PepsiCo, Gay-Lea Foods and Sobeys. He brings with him extensive experience in end-to-end supply chain functions, including demand and inventory planning, procurement, direct store delivery, warehousing, and logistics. He was recognized for notably transforming supply chain performance at PepsiCo with the Top Operations Management Award. In his time with Gay-Lea Foods, he led and implemented highly critical strategic integrations and a national supply chain network across the business to support the company’s rapid growth as it tripled in size. In his most recent role prior to joining Starbucks in 2024, Luis led supply chain at Mevotech, a leading auto parts engineering firm. 

Luis holds a B.Eng in Production Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar and an MBA from Schulich School of Business at York University.  

Originally from Venezuela, Luis now lives in Oakville, ON, with his wife and their two daughters, along with their yellow lab, Nacho. He enjoys an active lifestyle, which includes early morning workouts, running, yoga and attending his daughters’ soccer practices. An avid traveler, he also enjoys exploring and learning about new cultures during family travels. Luis is always open to sharing a story or two over his go-to Starbucks beverage, a Caffè Americano made with Starbucks Signature Espresso Roast.
