Starbucks Canada Expands Breakfast Menu with New Beyond Meat®, Cheddar and Egg Sandwich

Beyond Meat®, Cheddar and Egg Sandwich

New delicious breakfast sandwich coming to stores in Canada on March 3.

On March 3, the company will introduce a new Beyond Meat®, Cheddar and Egg Sandwich to its Canadian stores, alongside the launch of the new spring menu. This meatless breakfast sandwich will be part of Starbucks Canada’s core menu, offering customers an additional choice when it comes to their breakfast options.

Starbucks worked together with Beyond Meat® to develop a delicious recipe uniquely designed with the Starbucks customer in mind. The sandwich features a plant-based patty topped with cheddar cheese and egg on an artisanal bun.

So, what does it taste like? The patty is made with a unique blend of herbs and spices, featuring oregano, basil, rosemary, and fennel. These ingredients complement the flavours of the egg, cheddar and artisanal bun that our customers know and expect.

The full sandwich contains 25g of protein, and nearly half (10g) of that comes from the patty itself. The Beyond Meat® patty is made with plant-based protein derived from peas and brown rice.

Satisfying customer demand

Starbucks customers and partners (employees) in Canada have been asking for a delicious breakfast sandwich with a plant-based patty. The new offering further expands Starbucks Canada’s meatless breakfast options, which include Egg White & Roasted Red Pepper Sous Vide Egg Bites, Spinach, Feta & Cage-Free Egg White Wrap, classic oatmeal, and several bakery items.

Starbucks announced its sustainability commitment in January, and will expand plant-based menu options. In addition, Starbucks is constantly innovating its menu to reflect a range of food and beverages from wholesome to indulgent, which allows customers to make nutritional and dietary choices that are right for them.
