Starbucks Offers Big Rewards Alongside New Summer-Inspired Drink Menu
Starbucks Canada is on track to safely resume operations in 85 per cent of its stores by the end of May. Although the Starbucks Experience may look different, it is still convenient, familiar and safe for all customers.
Amid COVID-19, the Starbucks Experience created by partners in our stores extended and evolved into an enhanced digital relationship with customers through the Starbucks App.
The Starbucks App provides a safe, easy, and convenient way for customers to enjoy their favourite menu items. Customers can order ahead and pay with the Starbucks App at participating stores, which not only saves time, but helps minimize contact with partners and other customers. Additionally, customers can use the app as a resource to find their closest store and check operating hours.
By using the Starbucks App, customers can also collect Stars towards Rewards with almost all purchases when they become Starbucks Rewards members and pay with their registered Starbucks Card in the app. To welcome customers back to stores, Starbucks is offering three new promotions:
- One free drink: Customers who download the Starbucks App and set up an account can enroll in the Starbucks Rewards loyalty program and collect Stars with almost every purchase using a registered Starbucks Card in the app. New Starbucks Rewards members will be awarded with 150 Stars after they make their first purchase with the app between May 25 and June 30. That’s enough Stars for one free drink! See Starbucks.ca/rewards for program details.
- 25 Bonus Stars: Starbucks will reward members with 25 Bonus Stars every time they place a mobile order using their registered Starbucks Card in the app between May 25 and June 7.
- Double Star Days: Existing Starbucks Rewards members can enjoy four days of double the Stars from May 19 to 22 at participating stores.
These promotions coincide with Starbucks Canada moving to its summer menu, which includes three new Iced Coconutmilk Drinks — Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink, Iced Pineapple Matcha Drink, and Iced Golden Ginger Drink — and the returning seasonal favourite S’mores Frappuccino® Blended Beverage.
To try these new beverages, customers can use the Starbucks App to locate a store, order ahead, and pay. In most cases, customers who use the app can pick up their order from a barista at the door (without entering the café) or at the drive-thru. For those new to using the Starbucks App, here are step-by-step instructions for digital ordering.
Customers can also get their favourite Starbucks food and drinks without leaving home with Starbucks® Delivers, offering a convenient way to place an order through Uber Eats.
Here are the new summer menu items available at Starbucks:
NEW Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink
Starbucks new Iced Coconutmilk Drinks are vibrant and delicious and will expand the menu of non-dairy, iced beverages after the debut of two new non-dairy hot beverages in January. The Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink combines flavours of guava, passionfruit, pineapple and ginger, hand-shaken with coconutmilk and ice for a smooth and creamy beverage to uplift your day.
NEW Iced Pineapple Matcha Drink
Made with premium matcha green tea with flavours of pineapple and ginger, shaken with coconutmilk and ice, the Iced Pineapple Matcha Drink feels like an island escape in a cup. At first sip, you get some of that pineapple flavour complimented by the coconutmilk, with matcha and ginger flavours really shining through at the end.
NEW Iced Golden Ginger Drink
This caffeine-free beverage features ginger, pineapple and turmeric flavours, shaken with coconutmilk and ice. With its vibrant colour and sunny flavours, you might as well call the Iced Golden Ginger Drink a cup of sunshine.
RETURNING S’mores Frappuccino® Blended Beverage
Back for a limited time, the S’mores Frappuccino® layers marshmallow-infused whipped cream, milk chocolate sauce, a creamy blend of vanilla, coffee, milk and ice, even more marshmallow whipped cream and is finished off with a graham cracker crumble.
