Starbucks Mobile Order & Pay Arrives in la belle province, Québec!
Starbucks customers in Québec can now order ahead and pay using the Starbucks® app, one of the many benefits of being a Starbucks® Rewards member
Say hello to one of the easiest ways to get your order at Starbucks! Today (September 13, 2022), Starbucks Canada announced that customers will now be able to use the company’s leading mobile ordering feature, Mobile Order & Pay, at over 70 participating stores in la belle province, Québec.
Seamlessly integrated into Starbucks world-class mobile app and Starbucks® Rewards loyalty program, mobile ordering is a fast and easy way for Starbucks customers to order ahead, pay and pick up their purchases at their local Starbucks. Now available in Québec at participating Starbucks stores, Mobile Order & Pay provides the same exceptional Starbucks Experience customers have in-stores, including the ability to customize orders in the Starbucks app, earn Stars that can be redeemed for free food or beverage items, and picking up their handcrafted beverage made by a Starbucks barista, all with the added convenience and speed of placing and paying for your order in advance.
“We know our customers in Quebec crave convenience and being able to use their Starbucks app to order ahead has been one of their top requests over the years,” says Loic Lebrat, regional director of operations of Quebéc and Ottawa, Starbucks Canada. “We are thrilled to now provide this experience to our customers in Québec in French, making this a truly national offering, as well as all the benefits it unlocks for them. Mobile Order & Pay enables customers to choose which experience is right for them as they go about their day, save time, get their favourite Starbucks beverage and food items, and enjoy Starbucks Rewards in a new, much more rewarding way.”
Starbucks was the first national retailer to offer mobile payment technology combined with a deep loyalty program when Mobile Order & Pay first launched in Canada in 2015. Today, Mobile Order & Pay represents more than 20% of transactions at participating stores in Canada, and customer adoption is not slowing down. Since 2019, the company has seen Mobile Order & Pay customer usage double, aided by continued improvements to the Starbucks app, as well as increased personalization for customers. With already more than 450,000 active Starbucks Rewards members residing in Québec, expanding Mobile Order & Pay to the Québec market is another example of how Starbucks is continuing to meet the company’s commitment in creating new opportunities for customers and providing an unmatched digital customer experience that best serves evolving customer demand and need for more convenience, connection, and personalization.
“Canadians live in an increasingly digital world, and the Starbucks app matches their needs. Starbucks has long been a leader in taking leading edge technology, innovating and making it accessible and approachable for mainstream audiences. Our history with loyalty, mobile payment and mobile ordering is how we aim to provide an enhanced experience and meet customers’ needs in the digital space, while continuing to provide an exceptional experience in our stores,” added Lebrat.
