Summertime continues at Starbucks with a new menu of cold beverages and delicious food at stores in Canada. Beginning, Tuesday, June 25, new nondairy cold foams and Caramel Vanilla Swirl Iced Coffee, along with new food to pair with your favourite beverages, including the Three Cheese &amp; Egg Sandwich and Ham &amp; Swiss Croissant, which will be available year-round.

Starbucks is introducing new nondairy cold foams and nondairy vanilla coffee enhancer to the permanent menu, which make the perfect silky, smooth addition to any cold beverage. New nondairy cold foams are available in a variety of flavours that customers can customize their favourite cold beverage with, including Nondairy Chocolate Cold Foam and Nondairy Vanilla Cold Foam.

Additionally, customers can enjoy the Iced Nondairy Salted Caramel Cookie Matcha, available to order in stores or on the Starbucks app for a limited time. Vibrantly green, creamy matcha with oat beverage topped with a light and silky nondairy salted caramel cold foam and cinnamon crumbles makes for the perfect sweet and salty drink.

Caramel Vanilla Swirl Iced Coffee

New name, same refreshing taste: Strawberry Coconut Drink now Pink Drink in Canada

Beginning June 25, Strawberry Coconut Drink will now be renamed as Pink Drink on Starbucks menus in Canada. Starbucks Pink Drink is a light and refreshing beverage that features the sweet flavours of Strawberry Acai Refreshers® with accents of passion fruit and acai combined with coconut beverage and topped with a scoop of strawberries to give the drink its signature rosey pink hue. The beverage first joined the menu in 2017 after it quickly gained popularity when the beverage customization took social media by storm.

Only in Quebec – Alicia's Drink: Iced Macadamia Almond Shaken Espresso

Starbucks and artist Alicia Moffet teamed up to create the perfect drink of the summer, exclusively available for a limited time at stores in Quebec. Alicia’s drink, an Iced Macadamia Almond Shaken Espresso, is made with Starbucks Blonde® Espresso Roast, sweetened with macadamia syrup, shaken together with ice and topped with creamy almond beverage and toasted cookie crumbles.&nbsp;

Carefully crafted by Alicia herself with the Starbucks beverage development team, Alicia took inspiration from her favourite beverages and flavours at Starbucks, as well as her love of customization and creativity, to create a drink that is subtly sweet and perfect for hot summer days ahead.&nbsp;

“One thing I love about my trips to Starbucks is how I can customize my beverage the way I like it - whether that is adding a hint of sweetness and macadamia flavours to my favourite espresso beverage, Starbucks Blonde® Iced Shaken Espresso, using almond beverage to make it Nondairy, or adding a topping of slightly salty, toasted cookie crumbles,” Alicia shared.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Customers can order Alicia’s drink in Starbucks stores, only in the province of Quebec and while supplies last. 

Customers now have more to choose from when pairing their favourite beverage with a snack or sandwich on their next trip to Starbucks. 

The new Three Cheese &amp; Egg Sandwich is vegetarian-friendly and features a fluffy cage-free egg frittata with Parmesan and Monterrey cheese, topped with Cheddar cheese on a warm, artisan roll. This is the perfect sandwich for when you’re on the go with a Starbucks Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew in-hand.&nbsp;

For a completely savoury experience, the new Ham &amp; Swiss Croissant includes hickory-smoked ham and melted Swiss cheese, all wrapped in a buttery croissant with perfectly soft layers and a golden-brown crust.

It simply wouldn’t be summer without a cake pop. Available for a limited time, while supplies last, the new Orange Cream Cake Pop is the perfect companion to your Pink Drink with orange cream cake mixed with buttercream, dipped in chocolatey icing and finished with an orange slice design. Customers can also still enjoy the Pineapple Cloud Cake, which continues to be available on the summer menu.

When Simon Vuong, beverage developer for Starbucks, began to work on new recipe ideas for Starbucks summer menu, he started by getting in touch with those summertime vibes.

“We started out thinking about summer moments like hanging out by the pool and having a barbecue with friends. We have never had a blue beverage, but when we first created the recipe, the colour really captured the feeling we were going for – reminiscent of long, summer days and bright skies for everyone to enjoy,” Vuong said.

For the flavour, the team chose a combination of summer berries that inspired the drink’s name with the flavours of blueberries, blackberries and raspberries picked at the height of summer.

To add a refreshing pop of flavour and colour, the team added juicy raspberry flavoured pearls. They drew inspiration from drinks around the world, especially East Asian beverages with boba or pearls that have been popular for decades. Starbucks stores in Asia Pacific have also tapped into the trend in recent years, offering a Dark Caramel Coffee Sphere Frappuccino with bursting coffee spheres and a Peach Plum Pearls Oolong with plum-flavoured pearls.

“We started with fruit pieces, but we wanted something even bolder,” said Vuong. “So, we thought, ‘Let’s put fruit-flavoured pearls in the beverage and try it out.’ It’s very fun the way it delivers the flavour when it pops in your mouth.”

The result is the lineup of Summer-Berry Starbucks Refreshers beverages with hints of cool berry and bursting raspberry flavoured pearls. The icy drinks are part of the new summer menu, available in stores in Canada starting May 7, for a limited time.

This latest lineup includes Summer-Berry, Summer-Berry with Lemonade, and Summer Skies Drink, made with creamy coconut beverage. All three feature a wider green compostable straw that’s perfect for both sipping and stirring – and are sure to make a splash this summer.

The White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew returns for another summer at Starbucks. This customer favourite features the balanced and smooth taste of Starbucks Cold Brew with sweet macadamia syrup and is topped with white chocolate macadamia cream cold foam and toasted cookie crumbles. Beginning this summer, Starbucks Iced Coffee will now be served unsweetened without classic syrup.  When asked to describe the vibrant palette he chose for his new collaboration with Starbucks, Tim Singleton says, “It’s my favorite color – all of them.” The Toronto-based artist and illustrator used electric shades of punchy cyan, magenta, vibrant pink, key lime green and citrusy orange and a mixture of iconography for the joyful collection. “I always like my work to put a smile on people’s faces.”&nbsp;

The new Starbucks drinkware collaboration with Singleton is arriving in Starbucks stores in the United States and Canada on May 30. The collection is the first in a series through the Starbucks Artist Collaboration Program, which celebrates and elevates the voices and stories of artists from around the world through uniquely curated merchandise in Starbucks stores.&nbsp;

“A lot of the work that I do focuses on queerness and how that has inspired me – both as a queer person and a gay man and how I relate to the world with that,” he said.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Singleton’s collection is a mish-mash of pop culture, queer culture and nostalgia with bold visuals and rainbow-bright colors. “It really is a story of self-expression and the unrelenting freedom to express yourself how you want, and that there isn’t really one right way to do it,” Singleton said.&nbsp;

Exclusively designed for Starbucks, the drinkware collection includes two 24-ounce (venti) plastic cold cups with glitter artwork and a 16-ounce stainless steel tumbler, while supplies last. Starbucks locations within Target stores will also have three additional Target-exclusive drinkware pieces.&nbsp;

This 24-ounce double-walled plastic cold cup has a bit of everything – colour, glitter, holofoil, flowers and a hand making a peace sign that holds a heart. The swirling design carries all the way to the straw, with a final swoop of cyan and magenta. “The peace sign is iconic and easy to interpret almost immediately,” Singleton said. “And at the end of the day, we all want just a little bit of peace.”

The rainbow gradient of this 24-ounce cold cup evokes a sunrise as it softly blends from cyan to magenta to citrus with an overlay of a graphic geometric grid treatment. “A beautiful metaphor for queerness is juxtaposing colors,” Singleton said. “Putting a colour beside another colour you wouldn’t think go together – and then it goes together beautifully.”

Singleton’s 16-ounce stainless steel tumbler features a hand holding a rainbow fan, while eyelashes, stars and other icons float through the scene. Singleton said, “I just love the connection of the fan to the queer scene – you see them at drag shows and at Pride events. When you hear that loud clap of the fan [by a group] in unison it speaks to a sense of joy and freedom and that sense of community you have when everyone is doing that in sync. It’s one of those beautiful, harmonious moments.”

Summer at Starbucks is here! Starting Tuesday, May 9, customers can sip into the season with new summer-inspired beverages with fun-filled flavours including the Chocolate Java Mint Frappuccino® blended beverage and White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew. Also new in stores is Starbucks® Green Apron Blend, a light and lively whole bean coffee co-created with over 24,000 Starbucks partners (employees), and more.&nbsp;

Sweet summer enjoy-mint: New Starbucks Chocolate Java Mint Frappuccino® Blended Beverage&nbsp;

&nbsp;The Starbucks <a href="https://starbucks.app.link/kKfh7oz8Xyb" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Chocolate Java Mint Frappuccino® Blended Beverage</a>, features Starbucks Frappuccino roast coffee, sweet chocolate, and refreshing mint flavours with rich Frappuccino chips blended into a cooler-than-cool treat. The beverage is finished with a layer of mocha sauce, whipped cream, and a chocolate cookie mint sprinkle topping.&nbsp;

“With the Chocolate Java Mint Frappuccino®, we wanted to take a new approach to the classic combination of mint and chocolate to create a blended coffee beverage that elicits nostalgia for one of our favorite summer treats,” said Maureen Matthews of Starbucks beverage development team. “The new white chocolate mint sauce is subtle and creamy, and when paired with the crunch of Frappuccino® chips and a swirl of rich mocha, is reminiscent of mint chocolate chip ice cream poolside on a warm summer day.”&nbsp;

Cold meets creamy: New Starbucks White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew&nbsp;

Starbucks <a href="https://starbucks.app.link/OMRAjJr8Xyb" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew</a> combines the balanced and smooth taste of Starbucks® Cold Brew with a summer twist. This delightfully dreamy beverage is sweetened with macadamia syrup, topped with a white chocolate macadamia cream cold foam, and finished with toasted cookie crumbles.&nbsp;&nbsp;

“When creating Starbucks® White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew, we were inspired by memories of fresh macadamia nuts on tropical vacations and the distinct flavor of white chocolate macadamia nut cookies,” said Matt Thornton of Starbucks beverage development team. “The smooth flavor profile of Starbucks® Cold Brew combined with the nuttiness of macadamia flavor, creaminess of white chocolate flavored sauce in the cold foam, and salty cookie crumbs delivers the perfect balance of sweet and savory that customers love and offers a moment of summer fun with every sip.”&nbsp;

New Starbucks® Green Apron Blend™

New Starbucks® Green Apron Blend™&nbsp; is a light and lively Starbucks® Blonde roast coffee, with hints of Honeybell orange and graham crackers, to emulate the brightness and energy of Starbucks partners and stores. Nearly 24,000 idea submissions from store partners shaped its flavour and roast profiles, as well as which regions the coffee was sourced from, and the look and feel of the packaging.&nbsp;

As part of Starbucks continued commitment to its partners, the company is designating $5 per bag and, for a limited time, $0.10 per brewed cup of Green Apron Blend™ sold to the Caring Unites Partners (CUP) Fund, a Starbucks program that provides grants to eligible Starbucks employees in times of need.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Green Apron Blend™ is available at participating stores in Canada as a 1 lb. bag of whole bean coffee year-round, and starting May 9, will be available as a daily brewed hot coffee for a limited time.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Beginning Tuesday, June 21, the longest, brightest day of the year and the official start of summer, Starbucks customers can find new summertime sips and bites to enjoy during those endless, sunny days all season long.&nbsp;

The newest refreshing beverages to join the summer menu at Starbucks stores in Canada include the bright and bold Pineapple Passionfruit and Paradise Drink Starbucks Refreshers® beverages, alongside the new Cookies &amp; Cream Cake Pop. Plus, customers can find new summer essentials with a selection of colourful drinkware also hitting stores.

New Pineapple Passionfruit &amp; Paradise Drink Starbucks Refreshers® beverages

Inspired by the wistful flavours of a pineapple popsicle or passionfruit shaved ice, the new Pineapple Passionfruit Starbucks Refreshers® beverage brings all the summer vibes with every sip. The beverage features tropical flavours of pineapple and passionfruit, hand shaken by Starbucks baristas with real diced pineapple pieces and ice to create a delicious island escape that’s 100 calories for a Grande (16 fl oz). Customers can also order the beverage with lemonade for an extra burst of flavour.

The new non-dairy Paradise Drink Starbucks Refreshers® beverage adds coconut beverage to the Pineapple Passionfruit Starbucks Refreshers beverage for a creamy, dreamy, tropical sip at 140 calories for a Grande (16 fl oz).&nbsp;&nbsp;

"The Paradise Drink Starbucks Refreshers beverage is like sunshine in a cup – the bright tropical flavors are radiant, happy, and joyful. It’s the perfect summer sip for little moment of escape wherever you are,” said Raegan Powell, a senior product developer from Starbucks R&amp;D who led the creation of the new drink.” &nbsp;

The Pineapple Passionfruit and Paradise Drink Starbucks Refreshers beverages join the fan-favourite <a href="https://www.starbucks.com/menu/drinks/cold-drinks" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Starbucks Refreshers beverage menu</a>, which also includes the Strawberry Acai Starbucks Refreshers beverage, Mango Dragonfruit Starbucks Refreshers beverage and nondairy choices including Strawberry Coconut Drink and Dragon Drink.
