This expansion includes bringing Starbucks delivery to customers on the Uber Eats platform for the first time in over 20 new cities including Kelowna and Abbotsford in British Columbia, Fort McMurray and Spruce Grove in Alberta, Collingwood and Welland in Ontario, Moncton, New Brunswick and St. John’s, Newfoundland.

Starbucks Canada today announced it will be launching a pilot of Starbucks Delivers, powered by Uber Eats, in Quebec making the service available for the first time in French Canada as customer demand for delivery is on the rise.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Since March 2020, demand for Starbucks Delivers has tripled as Canadians look for convenient ways to enjoy Starbucks in their daily routines, while continuing to practice social distancing. The addition of delivery in Quebec is part of a national expansion of the service that will bring dozens more Starbucks stores onto the Uber Eats platform to better serve customers’ growing and evolving needs across the country.

Starbucks is accelerating the transformation of its store formats to best serve evolving customer needs of convenience, connection and personalization in the wake of the pandemic. The expansion of Starbucks Delivers powered by Uber Eats joins the company’s growing list of available convenience formats, including drive-thru, <a href="https://stories.starbucks.ca/en/stories/2020/starbucks-canada-welcomes-customers-back-grab-and-go-service/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">grab-and-go</a> and <a href="https://stories.starbucks.ca/en/stories/2020/starbucks-canada-to-begin-testing-curbside-pickup/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mobile Order Curbside Pickup</a>.

At launch, customers in Quebec will be able to order the majority of Starbucks core menu items through the Uber Eats mobile app and customize their orders with over 170,000 beverage customizations — all without leaving their home. The 10-store pilot will begin on August 25, and will include locations in Montreal, Laval, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Mont-Royal, and Boucherville.&nbsp;

Beginning May 6, customers can send Starbucks beverages and treats to their loved ones by using the new “Share This Delivery” feature available on <a href="https://www.ubereats.com/ca/brand/starbucks/?utm_source=starbucks_can&amp;utm_medium=brandpage&amp;utm_content=PAowned" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Starbucks Delivers</a> via the Uber Eats app.&nbsp;

After placing a Starbucks Delivers order on Uber Eats, customers will be prompted to share their delivery. Once selected, the customer will receive a tracking link as well as the option to include a message that they can share with the recipient through text or email.

This new feature on the Uber Eats app provides an enhanced and convenient way to send and track Starbucks Delivers orders to loved ones. Now, it’s easier than ever to #sendacup – whether it’s showing appreciation for members of the community such as first responders and health care workers, having mom’s favourite Starbucks treat delivered right to her door on Mother’s Day, or simply sharing joy for others.&nbsp;

Delivery is just one of the ways Starbucks continues to serve its communities amid COVID-19. And, in an effort to support its communities during this challenging time, Starbucks is also providing a $0 delivery fee for a limited time (taxes/fees apply) with Uber Eats. This summer, select cities across Canada will enjoy door-to-door delivery service with the launch of Starbucks Delivers. In teaming up with Uber Eats, the new service will give customers in Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary more ways than ever to order and enjoy their favourite Starbucks® food and beverages. Most of the menu will be available for delivery from hundreds of stores nationwide. The Canadian launch of Starbucks Delivers is the next chapter in an initiative that began in the US in 2018 and expanded globally earlier this year.
