Starbucks and TD Bank Group (TD) Announce Partnership to Bring More Rewards to Canadians

Canadians can now use TD® Aeroplan® Visa Cards to earn more at Starbucks

Your morning coffee just became more rewarding at Starbucks company-operated locations in Canada.* Beginning today, Starbucks Canada announced it has entered into a one-year partnership with TD that will create opportunities for TD Aeroplan Visa cardholders to earn more rewards, including 50% more Aeroplan points with every purchase made at participating Starbucks stores in Canada.

This first-of-its-kind collaboration for Starbucks in Canada creates a significant opportunity to provide customers with more value, combining two of Canada’s most recognized and celebrated rewards programs – Starbucks® Rewards and Air Canada’s Aeroplan program. In addition to earning 50% more Aeroplan points with every eligible Starbucks purchase, TD Aeroplan Visa cardholders can also earn Starbucks Rewards, which can be redeemed for free food and beverages at participating Starbucks stores.

Here’s how it works:

Customers who pay with their TD Aeroplan Visa card will earn 50% more Aeroplan points when they load or reload their Starbucks Card or make purchases at participating Starbucks stores in Canada. A list of participating stores can be found here.

Customers can earn both Stars towards Starbucks Rewards and bonus Aeroplan points when they register for Starbucks Rewards and pay one of three ways:

1. Add funds to their Starbucks® Card using TD Aeroplan Visa card, then use that Starbucks Card for payment, either at the POS or through the Starbucks app – earn 2 Stars per $1 spent
2. Link their TD Aeroplan Visa card as a payment method in the Starbucks app, then use it to mobile order or scan and pay in-store – earn 1 Star per $1 spent
3. At the register, open the Starbucks app and use the “Scan to earn” option to scan then pay with their TD Aeroplan Visa card – earn 1 Star per $1 spent

*Starbucks Rewards is available at participating Starbucks locations. Purchases at Starbucks licensed stores and Starbucks Delivers powered by Uber Eats are not be eligible for bonus Aeroplan points.
