A look at the 2021 Starbucks red holiday cup designs

The Starbucks red holiday cups are back and more festive than ever, with gift-inspired designs that are perfect for sharing.

With shimmering ribbons, a splash of colour and a sprinkle of stars – Starbucks new holiday cups, in four different design variations, are wrapped up like gifts for the holidays. This year’s theme features festive colours of red, green and white with playful touches of lilac. And every cup has a thoughtful gift tag on the back, perfect for sharing a cheerful greeting with a friend or loved one.

“Starbucks red cups are a portal to holiday joy,” said Suzie Reecer, Starbucks associate creative director. “Anytime you're holding the cup, we hope that it's just filling you with the excitement of the season and reconnecting with friends and family.”

Wrapping Paper

A perfectly wrapped gift was the inspiration for this design, featuring a colorful geometric pattern of circles, stripes and stars in the season’s signature shades.  

Ribbon

This design evokes a familiar moment of the season, with pieces of ribbon in white and iridescent lilac playfully dancing against a red field of twinkling stars. “The ribbon cup design is inspired by that moment when you just finished wrapping up gifts for your friends and family and look down at the floor to see ribbons all over the place,” Reecer said.

Holiday Lights

This cup design is like the stars on a clear winter’s night, sparkling holiday lights peek out amid a swirl of ribbons and a jumble of bold, graphic letters that spell out “Starbucks.”
