How Starbucks partners strengthen communities through Neighbourhood Grants in every Canadian province

This year, Starbucks partners helped inform more than $750,000 in grants to nearly 400 local charities in every Canadian province and the Yukon Territory. Since 2019, The Starbucks Foundation has invested more than $5.4 million CAD through over 2,500 grants to Canadian community organizations.

What makes Neighbourhood Grants unique is that it starts with our partners.

Each year, partners nominate local charities they believe are making a meaningful difference and that they often already engage with through volunteering or personal giving. They share why these charities matter to them personally and how they make an impact in their communities. Those nominations help The Starbucks Foundation identify and support organizations addressing some of the most pressing local needs.

Starbucks partners are committed to supporting the communities they serve, both through the Neighbourhood Grants program and through ongoing volunteerism and local engagement.

On Wednesday, July 8, Starbucks Canada and Yellow Brick House celebrated the organization’s 2026 Starbucks Foundation Neighbourhood Grant of $9,800 at a Starbucks coffeehouse in Richmond Hill.

Yellow Brick House has been a valued community partner for Starbucks partners in Richmond Hill for many years. This event celebrated not only this year’s grant, but an ongoing partnership built through volunteering, fundraising and community engagement.

Since 2021, Yellow Brick House has received over $100,000 from Neighbourhood Grants thanks to the many partners who nominate the charity each year. This year, there were 170 partner nominations in support of Yellow Brick House and the important work they do for individuals and families in our community.

Congratulations to Yellow Brick House and the nearly 400 other Canadian organizations that received a Neighbourhood Grant this year!
